Hyde Park Tennis gives you so many opportunities to play tennis and make friends.

It starts with our unique on-boarding program.  We match new members with a current member who will help you enjoy your Hyde Park Tennis experience. Your ambassador will hit with you, understand the tennis experience you are looking for and connect you with players, groups and activities suited to your goals.


Director of Tennis, Dave Russell:


Born in Buffalo, New York and a resident of the Greater Cincinnati area for 20 years, Dave played and started 4 years of varsity tennis at Indiana University, where the school finished in the top 25 three times during his tenure. After college, Dave spent 15 years working for a publicly traded IT services company in Northern Kentucky before returning to the tennis world in 2008. Dave is USPTA certified and has taught tennis for 10 years. He has worked at several tennis facilities including Kenwood Country Club, Fort Mitchell Country Club, The Indoor Tennis Club, Mariemont Tennis Association and is returning for his fifth year as the Director of Tennis at Hyde Park Tennis Club.


These clinics are a great opportunity to hit a lot of balls and meet prospective hit partners!

Private and group lessons:

Our pros offer private sessions for one, two or up to six people. Improve your game and have fun with your friends.

Managed groups:

HPTC hosts groups at all levels with weekly times scheduled for the season. Club members manage the groups and and they provide a great opportunity to play regularly and make new friends.


Ball Machine:

Members enjoy free use of the club’s ball machine.

Tennis ladder:

The club’s tennis ladder runs throughout the season giving players a chance to play competitive matches against members of similar ability.

Singles and doubles tournament

At the close of each season the club holds a singles and doubles tournament to crown the club champion.

Unlimited guest privileges

We welcome guests and place no restrictions on how often they may play. Guest fees are $20 for the day.

Racquet stringing:

HPTC has a USRSA trained and certified Master Racquet Technician to advise you on the best stringing for your game and give quick turnaround on new strings and grips.
